Most clubs are already looking for suitable players for the upcoming season before the end of the season. However, there could be a number of changes in coaching positions this year. Let’s take a look at which clubs may change their bench boss this summer.

FC Barcelona

At Barcelona, Xavi’s announcement about the end of his stay has put an end to speculation. The Spanish pilot has a contract at the Catalan club until June 2025 and despite recent reports, he is finally going to keep it.

Leverkusen

His compatriot Xabi Alonso has the same intention after all, confirming his stay at Leverkusen. The pharmaceutical giant has so far found no conquerors across all three competitions this season and won the Bundesliga title for the first time ever. Moreover, the collection of trophies can also be extended in the German Cup or Europa League, so it is not surprising that there has been great interest in the services of the coaching magician.

Liverpool

On the other hand, the end of Jürgen Klopp at Liverpool is clear, who announced his departure at the end of January. After nine years, someone else will take the bench of the Beatles’ club, and according to the latest reports, it should be the current Feyenoord coach Arne Slot.

Rubén Amorim from Sporting Lisbon was previously linked with the English club, but currently Liverpool’s management has reportedly come to an agreement with the fifty-four year old Dutchman. He could also bring Slovakian international David Hancock, who is one of the mainstays of this year’s Feyenoord team, to his new home.

Bayern Munich

The question of who will lead the first team is also being addressed in Munich, where they are no longer counting on the services of Thomas Tuchel. Even if the Bavarians triumph in the Champions League would probably not change anything. Tuchel’s place could be taken by current Austrian national team coach Ralf Ragnick or former Real Madrid coach Zinédine Zidane. Julian Nagelsmann, on the other hand, is out of the picture, having turned down the offer to lead Bayern’s bench.

Manchester United

Erik ten Hag did not live up to expectations in his second season with the Red Devils, so the club’s officials might break their grip on his future. One of the favourites to win the vacant position would be Thomas Tuchel, but along with him, the names of Zinedine Zidane and Thiago Motta are also being floated in connection with United.

AC Milan

There is also more and more talk in the media about the departure of Stefano Pioli from AC Milan. This is also suggested by the Rossoneri’s strong interest in the arrival of Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui, around whom West Ham are also circling. Roberto De Zerbi and Paulo Fonseca are expected to be the other candidates for the position at AC Milan.

Juventus

More than one Juventus Turin fan would like to see information about Massimiliano Allegri’s non-continuation come in the summer. Although back in March, the Old Lady officials expressed their confidence in the Italian helmsman, poor results and not-so-pretty play could change their words. In this case, it would open up the possibility of engaging Zinedine Zidane, who Juventus were interested in earlier. The arrival of Thiago Motta would not be ruled out either.
