Just two more games and one great era will be over. Liverpool are about to say a grand farewell to one of the most important coaches in the club’s history. Jürgen Klopp will leave Anfield Road after nine years. But it won’t be without a farewell.

It was October 2015 when Jürgen Klopp took over as head coach of the famous Liverpool. At the time, the English club was falling into mediocrity. The German strategist had a tough job ahead of him. To restore the traditional brand to its former glory. It was done.

While some may argue that the Reds didn’t win much under the former Dortmund coach, Klopp turned a team that was falling into mediocrity into a squad that regularly challenged for trophies. If it wasn’t for Pep Guardiola and a richer Manchester City, the German’s legacy would be that much greater.

Besides, Jürgen managed to win the Champions League, Club World Cup, Premier League, FA Cup, FA Community Shield and League Cup twice with Liverpool. This year too, the Reds fought almost to the end of the season for the English league title. Unfortunately, it didn’t come to fruition.

Klopp also instilled the team with his signature, attractive football that entertained. He brought back positive emotions, hope to the club. He made an indelible mark on the history of LFC. That’s why he was expected to have a big send-off. And indeed it will.

There are only two games left in Liverpool’s season. Considering what Jürgen Klopp has achieved, it would be almost unthinkable that he should not say goodbye to the club. So the club has decided to throw a spectacular celebration called An Evening with Jürgen Klopp and special guests.

The farewell party will take place on May 28 at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena. The main host for the evening will be comedian and Liverpool fan John Bishop. There will be no shortage of music either, with several Merseyside bands performing.

But the highlight will be a live meeting with the German coach. Klopp will answer questions from Peter McDowall, who fans may know from Liverpool’s club TV. However, it will also be an interactive interview that will include fans who will be able to join in with the energetic coach to reminisce about memorable moments.

“It will be a very special night with lots of fantastic memories and lots of great music. I’m really looking forward to spending time with our fans, the heart of this wonderful and unique club,” Jürgen Klopp told the club’s website.
