Horror and terror, nothing for the weak of character. Polish beauty Karolina Wojcik showed off a detail of a crazy laceration on her forehead after a fight in the Octagon

The Oktagon has had another gala night with number 55. There were hard knockouts and beautiful battles. The event opened with an attractive duel between two handsome fighters. Karolina Wojcik didn’t only take a defeat, but also a nasty injury.

A big comeback of Lucie Szabova, an exhibition knockout of Michael Deiga-Scheck, the birth of a new star in the person of Arijan Topallaj, a rematch of Christian Jungwirth with Rob Pukac, seven finishes in total before the limit… OKTAGON 55 was simply not boring.

The controversial result in Jakub Bahnik’s duel with Wahid Najand or the detonation of a big bomb were also addressed, when the organization announced that it would show up at the Frankfurt football stadium in October for about 55,000 spectators.

The whole gala in Stuttgart, however, opened with a female battle between two handsome ladies. Karolia Wojcik and former title challenger Jacinta Austin were in action. Ondrej Novotny expected an attractive duel and he was not wrong.

We didn’t see any exhibition finishes, but it wasn’t boring. On the contrary. Nevertheless, the match was directed by the Australian fighter, who managed to cope with the Polish woman without any problems.

Karolina Wojcik, besides losing, takes a nasty blow

The duel had no favourite. This was reflected in the first round, which was quite even and played entirely in the stand-up. It was a close fight. Two judges gave it to the Australian fighter, one to the Polish.

But then Karolina Wojcik started to pull the short end of the rope. Jacinta Austin dominated the entire second round, spending most of the time on her opponent’s back in the stance, landing punches and trying to put on the choke.

The third round was then more or less all standing and a pivotal moment occurred. The Australian landed a hard elbow to her opponent’s forehead and a huge gash was delivered. The Pole began to bleed and that’s when Jacinta got the upper hand.

Ondrej Novotny in his commentary did not hide his surprise that the referee did not stop the duel to let Karolina be checked by a doctor, but the Polish tough girl held on till the end and lost on points. The duel winner, however, tried to hit as many shots as she could until the final bell to make herself even bigger.

This took a rather cruel toll. In fact, Karolina Wojcik took to social media after the fight to show off a detail of the laceration, and it’s not for the faint of heart.

“I’m sorry, I left everything there. I’ll be back,” the Polish fighter said in a text accompanying the photo.
