After the end of Sparta, an engagement in Ligue 1? Lille interested in Nita after losing experienced goalkeeper

Florin Nita’s contract at Letná expired in the summer and the experienced Romanian goalkeeper is now a free agent. He still hasn’t found a new employer, but now it seems that he could head to Ligue 1, specifically to Lille.

Florin Nita’s career is quite interesting. The Czech fan can for the first time perceive him more in FCSB, in which he played in the European Cups against Sparta Prague. He secured promotion for his team and later transferred to Sparta.

Many wondered why a foreign goalkeeper was coming in, as they said he needed to speak Czech and communicate with the defence. But Nita showed he could do it and immediately became a fan favourite.

He had some fluctuations, but he was one of the best goalkeepers in the league for a long time. He definitely lost his place after a high defeat at Slovácko and when he opened his mouth in the Romanian press in the winter, he was definitely out of the team.

Sparta no longer gave him a chance and Nita just sat on the bench or the stands. At the beginning of the spring part of the last season, he agreed to a guest stint at Pardubice, who managed to stay in the first league and moved away again.

At Sparta, his contract expired and Pardubice could not cover the wages he would have demanded. So Nita has been looking for a job ever since and now it looks like he might find one.

According to Lepetitlillois, the player is in talks with a team from the top French competition, namely Lille. He played against this team for Sparta in December 2020, when Sparta lost 1: 2 in France.

The thirty-six-year-old Romanian goalkeeper is expected to replace Benoît Costil at the club, who left for Salernitana in Italy. Lucas Chevalier, currently 21, is the number one goalkeeper and should compete with him.

Also in Lille is twenty-six-year-old Slovak Adam Jakubech, who is in his second year at the club and is still waiting for his first start in a competitive match.
