Ladislav Krejci has been promised a summer transfer abroad by Sparta and now it seems that everything has been agreed. The young stopper of the reigning Czech champion is heading to Real Betis. At least this information is published by Spanish website AS.

According to the Spanish daily AS , Ladislav Krejci, Sparta’s captain, is set to move to Real Betis, who are currently seventh in the Spanish La Liga. The transfer has reportedly not been finalised yet. But a verbal agreement should be reached with the player and the club.

Sources close to the Spanish club suggest that the transfer price could be around €8 million (approx. CZK 202 million). Ladislav Krejci, the 24-year-old Czech national team footballer, is reportedly expected to agree a transfer this summer. His contract with his current team expires on June 30, 2025.

Reinforcement for the back line

According to the newspaper, the Green and Whites are in need of a central defender due to injuries and the departures of players whose contracts expire in the summer. For this reason, they have started to take an interest in Krejci, who was spotted in two Europa League matches against Sparta this year.

He has scored eight goals in 30 games this season and also has three assists. He can also play as a defensive midfielder. And his ability could make him a good fit for coach Pellegrini’s plans.

Is Ladislav Krejci ready?

Negotiations regarding Krejci’s transfer have reportedly been ongoing for a few weeks now and seem to have moved towards an agreement with the player’s agent and Sparta.

In the past, there was speculation of interest from other clubs such as Girona and Sporting Lisbon. But neither the player nor his current club were happy with the offers.

However, it is questionable whether Sparta are willing to agree to a transfer on such terms, although they have demanded more in the past. Moreover, the price of the player may increase to EURU.
