This weekend we will see the winner of the Women’s World Cup, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand this year. The Spaniards are already through to the final played on Sunday, and in today’s semi-final match the home Aussies will try to beat the England team.

Women’s football is becoming more and more popular among the wider community. The question is, of course, whether this is due to genuine quality performances on the pitch or purely to the beauty of some of the female players.

A large part of the growing popularity of women’s football and women’s sports in general is also due to the social networks on which female athletes appear and present themselves. Below you can see a selection of the five most beautiful female footballers who will be part of the Women’s World Cup.

5. Sakina Karchaoui

Twenty-seven-year-old female footballer of French nationality who plays on the left side of defence and wears the PSG jersey on the club scene.

Karchaoui was born in France, but as her appearance suggests, she has African ancestry. Specifically Moroccan. Before her biggest engagement to date, she played for the likes of Montpellier and Lyon.

4. Kiki Van Zanten

Kiki is a Jamaican twenty-two year old soccer player playing for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Her background is very interesting. Her father is American with Dutch ancestry and her mother is Jamaican.

She made her first start for the national team in February 2022 in the CONCACAF tournament and scored her first goal in July of that year.

3. Adriana Leon

She is a Canadian attacking soccer player who wears the jersey of Seattle Reign, but has a great experience in Europe.

During her five years in the islands, she played for West Ham and later Manchester United. However, she only played five games for the Red Devils before returning back to the US.

In the current season, she has also played only five games and scored once.

2. Alex Morgan

What would this ranking be without one of the most famous female footballers of all time. Alex Morgan is a thirty-four year old soccer player who now wears the San Diego Wave jersey and will of course be representing the USA at the World Cup.

In the current season so far, she has made eleven starts and scored five goals. Last season was a very successful one for her as she scored sixteen goals in nineteen league games.

Morgan is still one of the most attractive women in the world of football and sport in general. Her Instagram account is followed by over 10 million users.

1. Alisha Lehmann

Currently one of the most famous female soccer players who earned her popularity thanks to social media. She is currently followed by over 13 million people on Instagram, a 70 percent increase from last year.

She herself is reportedly frustrated that others are more interested in her looks than her football skills.

“A lot of people only see the social side and not how I actually play football. Sometimes I get frustrated because I work hard every day,” she said in an interview with The Times.

“I train every day and I want to be the best footballer I can be. They don’t really know how I play football, ” she continued.

Alisha was named as the world’s most popular female athlete ever, according to the study. She currently plays for Aston Villa and will represent Switzerland at the World Cup.
