Quite surprising information comes from the manager of Slovak heavyweight Martin Buday. The elite Slovakian MMA fighter has won all of his fights in the UFC, yet it is possible that he will end up in the UFC. How is that possible?

After winning the title at Octagon 25, Martin Buday got a chance to fight in Contender, where he proved his qualities and knocked out Lorenzo Hood in the first round. Dana White didn’t hesitate and gave him a four-fight contract.

He has now completed those and all of them were victorious. First he took on the experienced Chris Barnett, then Lukasz Brzeski, Jake Collier and finally Josh Parisyan.

He has shown that he belongs in the UFC. The question is whether he will continue in the organization. He has received an offer, but now he and his team are wondering if he might be better off elsewhere.

“Right now we are deciding whether to stay in the UFC or look for other options. For Martin, the UFC is no longer a complete universe. His big dream was to get into the UFC and then work his way into the top 15.

By being free at the moment, we would like to take the opportunity to look around the market to see where would be the best and most advantageous placement for Martin. As for the offer from the UFC, of course I can’t be specific. We got a new contract for 4 fights.

If you know a little bit, you probably have an idea of the salary Martin has climbed to through 4 UFC wins. Thenew contract is financially designed to roughly double the current payout,” Buday’s manager Ondrej Majercik told MMA Shorties.

If the UFC wants to keep him, it will have to offer different money. The organization has long been criticized for its fighters’ salaries, and the likes of Francis Ngannou left for the PFL because of it.

This particular organization may be an option, even if it goes on seasons, which may not sit well with many fighters. Bellator is a more realistic option, and there is also a chance of a return to Europe, where KSW is no doubt interested.
