It’s gonna break out on Thursday! The European Conference League playoffs are here, with Zalgiris Vilnius taking on Ferencváros Budapest in Lithuania in one of the games. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?

Zalgiris has dropped out of the first round of the Champions League. They dealt with Struga, then were unlucky to be knocked out of the LM against Galatasaray, and got an eight overall from Hacken in the EL. He is second in the league after 27 rounds by six points.

Ferencváros blew their season goal in the first preliminary round when they were eliminated by Faroese Klaksvik. It outplayed its next two opponents in the Conference League, playing only two games in the league with a record of one win and one loss.

Zalgiris key figures

Mathias Oyewusi is the biggest star of the home team, the Nigerian forward has netted 16 goals and assisted six times. Marko Milickovic reigns in the midfield, the Montenegrin number 10 is on five shots and three assists.

Ferencváros’ key figures

The visitors rely on Barnabas Varga, the Hungarian international has scored six times and assisted four times from the top of the attack. African winger Adama Traoré is a threat from the wing, scoring three goals in addition to four assists.

What to expect and what to bet on?

Zalgiris is not at its best, winning only two of its last eight games, even losing twice on the league stage. On top of that, it has conceded four or more goals in four of its last eight games.

This is not at all fitting, as Ferencváros is currently on a roll. It has scored an average of 3.3 goals in its last six games, and last season in the domestic league it kept a run of 1.9 shots per round in the Hungarian league.

Considering the visitors’ up-tempo offense, the home team’s struggling defense and the different qualities of the two squads, I think Ferencváros can already win away and create a comfortable position for the rematch.
