The 23rd round of the English Premier League opened with Everton vs Tottenham. The spectators at Goodison Park were certainly not bored, there were four goals. Everton was a much better team, but in the fight for salvation they could only win one point.

In the fourth minute Tottenham took the lead when a pass from Udogie was converted by the twenty-six-year-old Richarlison. The Brazilian international has been playing in great form in recent weeks.

In the following minutes, the home side were clearly the more active team and deservedly got the equaliser. Midfielder Jack Harrison scored in the 30th minute.

Before the end of the first half, Spurs regained the lead. After a pass from James Maddison, Richarlison scored his second goal of the game. Pickford had no chance to react to his shot from outside the sixteen.

Everton finally equalized at the very end of the match

Although the away side had more possession of the ball, Everton created more scoring opportunities. As usual, twenty-seven-year-old Italian goalkeeper Vicario put in a great performance, keeping his teammates at bay on several occasions.

However, the Toffees eventually got the equaliser. Midfielder Jarrad Branthwaite found the ball in the second half and headed it behind the helpless Vicario. For their activity, Everton deserved at least a draw.

It earned them a very valuable point in the fight for salvation. However, they have not been in good form in recent weeks, which is why they are currently only eighteenth. In the next game, they will travel to Manchester City.

Tottenham, on the other hand, made the most out of the minimum, yet they cannot be satisfied with a draw. However, the positive news is the great form of Richarlison, who is seventh in the scorers’ table with ten accurate hits.

Spurs have not lost for the fourth game in a row. However, Aston Villa managed to take advantage of their hesitation and moved up to fourth place. Next week Tottenham will challenge the unpredictable Brighton at home.
