RFA announces its own pyramid after Oktagon! However, it offers much less money and a different format. What will it look like?

The biggest differences can be seen in the main prize and the fact that the winner who will be competing for it will work hard in one night.

The RFA presented the project on Sunday, saying that it will be a pyramid of 30,000 euros, or just under 720.5 thousand crowns. Moreover, all the matches will take place in one evening, on April 22, 2023.

For now, it is not specified in which city the tournament will take place. However, it is certainly tempting, as similar pyramids have been common in the past.

The fights will be in the MMA weight class up to 80 kilograms. Interestingly, the weigh-ins will unusually take place on the day of the tournament, not the day before as is the custom.

If you’ve got it, send us your application. 8 of the best, toughest and most complex fighters will clash on April 22nd under MMA rules. The winner will have to manage 3 fights in one night and the interesting thing is that the weigh-in will take place on the day of the event,” reads the announcement of the organization.

It’s quite possible that since the weigh-ins will be held on the day of the tournament, we will see fighters from the lower weight classes, specifically welterweight or lightweight.

Otherwise, it will be interesting to see how injuries or fatigue will enter into the pyramid progression and how much the fighters will be tactical. We’ll have to wait and see the names of the fighters.
