Simone Inzaghi has extended his contract with Inter Milan, according to Italian media reports. This makes Inzaghi the third highest paid coach after Massimiliano Allegri of Juventus and Jose Mourinho of Roma.

Italian media Corriere dello Sport and Tuttomercato reported that Simone Inzaghi has signed a new contract as Inter Milan coach.

The Nerazzurri confirmed it on Tuesday, Inzaghi will remain at the San Siro until 2025. Inter will pay the newly 47-year-old Italian coach €5.5 million a year, making him the third highest paid coach in Serie A.

Only two coaches in Italy’s top competition receive a higher salary. Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus and José Mourinho at the helm of AS Roma.

The fourth highest paid coach is Stefano Pioli (AC Milan) with an annual salary of four million euros. Rudi Garcia (Naples), Gian Piero Gasperini (Atalanta) and Maurizio Sarri (Lazio) earn three million.

Inzaghi joined Inter for the 2021/22 season, having coached the Milanese big club for 112 games so far.

During that time, he has won four trophies with the San Siro club, and last season he reached the Champions League final, where Inter lost to Manchester City.

Inter have entered the new season very well, winning all three of their opening matches and are currently leading the table in the Italian top flight.
