Norway have had a failed qualification for the European Championships in Germany. It left Spain and Scotland behind and will not play in the summer tournament. In fact, in four games against their rivals for the EURO they have only gained one point.

The Nordic country now has two preliminary matches on the schedule and will face the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Both matches will be played at home and the team of coach Ivan Hašek will play this Friday.

Coach Staale Solbakken has nominated the team’s biggest stars, including Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, Sevilla’s Örjan Nyland, Arsenal’s Martin Ödegaard, Manchester City’s Oscar Bobb and Copenhagen’s Mohamed Elyounoussi.

Haaland limped out of training

And it is the start of the first named who is in less danger. The 23-year-old striker left Norway’s training session in a not-so-good condition, holding his leg and limping off.

Concerns have begun to mount among Manchester City fans, whose team needs Haaland at the end of the season. The team doctor decided to address those concerns and assured fans that the examination showed no problem.

Therefore, the former Borussia Dortmund forward should be available for the double-header against Czech Republic and Slovakia. It’s up to the coach whether to give him space on the pitch in both games or give him some rest.

As for the Czech team, it will move back to the Czech Republic after Friday’s game in Norway, where it will face Armenia on Tuesday at the Sparta football stadium.
