The Champions League is the most important and prestigious club competition and it is every player’s dream to lift the trophy above his head. Which footballers have done it the most times in their careers?
Cristiano Ronaldo is the absolute ruler in terms of the number of times he has won the Champions League on his own. He has dominated the millionaire competition five times, once with Manchester United and four times with Real Madrid.
But when it comes to the overall European Cups, there is another king. The PMEZ Cup, the predecessor of the Champions League, has been won six times by legendary Real Madrid winger Paco Gento.
Ronaldo dominated the Champions League for the first time in 2008, and was subsequently photographed with the eared trophy in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. The absolute dominance of Los Blancos in those years has caused Real Madrid players to reign supreme among the players with the most titles. In fact, the team has been steady and several players have been at all four trophies.
In the top ten we find 8 Real Madrid players and Clarence Seedorf, who also won one trophy at the Santiago Bernabéu. The only player who did not win the trophy in the Spanish capital is Andrés Iniesta of Barcelona.
