Juventus stars couldn’t take the loss to Inter. It’s hard to play against the odds, Bianconeri midfielder hints at referee’s performance
Juventus seem to have definitely lost their chance to win Serie A on Sunday. They lost to Inter Milan. In case of a win, they could still have some hopes, so they have to bite a bitter defeat. And it’s not going so well, with the Bianconeri stars criticising the performance of the referees.

Italy’s Serie A is probably the most interesting of the top five European leagues this season. At least as far as the title fight is concerned. So far, four teams could more or less fight for it, but on Sunday Juventus lost their hopes.
Mathematically, the Bianconeri can still nurture hope, but they would have to hope that AC Milan, Napoli or Inter Milan lose at least twice and lose some more points in the rest of the matches. The Milanese teams have an extra match to play.
On Sunday, it was Inter who stopped Juventus in their tracks. The Turin side was the better team throughout the match, but the penalty was converted by Hakan Calhanoglu at the second attempt.
His first attempt was caught by the Juventus goalkeeper, however Matthijs de Ligt was in the hexagon before Calhanoglu could kick the ball, so the penalty kick was repeated.
The second half then saw Alessandro Bastoni’s foul on Denis Zakaria, the situation was also examined by VAR, however, it was decided that the foul occurred outside the Inter Milan penalty area, so no penalty was kicked.
Already during the match, Juventus’ members did not bear these decisions well. Coach Massimiliano Allegri was also not very sporting after Inter’s penalty.
In the post-match interview, Adrien Rabiot was then relieved, saying that the referees more or less decided the whole match. However, that was not the end of his comments on the match. He added to it on social media.
The French midfielder wrote on Instagram that it is hard to win when playing 11 players against 12. His post was liked by several of his teammates, including Matthijs de Ligt, Arthur Melo and Weston McKennie
