Every year there are rankings, either of the best footballers in general or the best talents. In the past we could see names like Ansu Fati or even earlier Paul Pogba. But who is the biggest talent at the moment according to NXGN?

5. Arda Güler – Real Madrid

The Turkish gem has been of particular interest to Barcelona over the summer. However, at the last minute, rival Real Madrid rushed in with an offer, which eventually won out for the player. The price tag was set at €20 million. The engagement in Spain, however, did not start well for Güler. He injured his knee and just when it looked like he was going to make a comeback, the injury recurred.

On January 6, Güler played 59 minutes in a cup match against Arandina. The Turkish midfielder scored his first goal in his new job on 10 March in a 4-0 win over Celta Vigo. In the last game before the national break, he came on for the last 5 minutes against Osasuna and his long-range effort from his own half ended up on the crossbar.

4. Mathys Tel – Bayern Munich

Like Güler, Mathys Tel came to Bayern Munich for €20 million. The Frenchman was scouted by the German club’s management at Stade Rennes in 2022. Before the transfer, the talented striker had already managed to play 10 games for the French team. Last season, the youngster was given quite a lot of space, which was mainly due to the little competition in the Munich squad for the position of a top striker.

He finished the 2022/23 season with 6 goals in 22 starts. This season, the Frenchman has a lot of competition in the form of Harry Kane, but when he gets space, he will repay. He already has 8 goals and 4 assists. He has already scored his debut goal in the Champions League, when he scored the goal that decided a close 4-3 win in the opening game against Manchester United. Bayern is developing a very interesting player of world-class quality as a top striker.

3. Warren Zaïre-Emery – PSG

Zaïre-Emery is an offspring of the Parisian club, having come through all age categories within the academy. He started his senior career last season on August 6 when he came on for 8 minutes in the game against Clermont Foot. He then regularly popped in for the final minutes as the season progressed and slowly worked his way into the starting line-up towards the end of the season. He finished the season with 2 goals scored.

The French central midfielder has already gone into this season with the role of an important player. In this part of the season, he has already played 2,551 minutes, a full 28 games. He has 3 goals and 6 assists to his credit, most notably his goal in the Dortmund net in the last Champions League group game shot Paris into the knockout stages.

2. Endrick – Palmeiras / Real Madrid

So far, we know Endrick only from YouTube videos or TikTok clips. The Brazilian striker was bought by Real Madrid for 45 million euros in advance, but the transfer will not come into effect until this summer. Last season, he helped his club to the championship title with 11 goals. At the age of 17, he has already played 66 games for Palmeiras and scored 18 goals.

1. Lamine Yamal – FC Barcelona

A product of the famous La Masia academy, Yamal burst into big-time football at the age of 16. 6 goals and 7 assists in 40 starts for Barcelona’s A-team? Great! He leaves Ferran Torres and often Raphinha behind him on the bench.

He’s deservedly top of the list, but fans are praying that Yamal doesn’t end up overloading at a young age like Ansu Fati. Lamine Yamal is a name that definitely gives Barcelona fans hope for the years to come.
