Union lost at home to Bayern 1:5. The visitors still hold 2nd place in their hands. Bayern dominated almost the whole match and managed it in a start-finish style. Tuchel also managed to save Musiala, who was given the day off.

Goretzka opened the scoring in the 29th minute. Tel’s pass from outside the box was expertly dropped between Sané’s legs, giving the German midfielder an easy position to score. Bayern managed to open the scoring.

Kane made it 2-0 in injury time. The English international scored beautifully from a free-kick. Home goalkeeper Ronnow doesn’t seem to have a clear conscience.

Any hopes the home side had of beating Csaplár’s trap were cut short by Müller in the 53rd minute. The German playing legend was found at the back post by the centering Choupo-Moting and the experienced offensive midfielder already knew his stuff.

8 minutes later, the visitors were happy again. The home side lost the ball in their own half and a quick 5 on 3 counter-attack was solved by Kane with a pass to Tel, who hit the back post with a shot from the edge of the penalty area to increase Bayern’s lead.

Müller scored for the second time in the match to cap off a threatening 13 minutes for the home side. The German midfielder found a centred ball from Goretzka and sent the ball into the net with an uncompromising header.

The home fans were able to rejoice at least once in stoppage time of the 2nd half when Vertessen scored after a beautiful solo effort on the left side of the pitch. The Belgian midfielder closed the scoring for the final 1:5.

Bayern had no major problems against the struggling Union and saw off Stuttgart, who face Bremen on Sunday. Kane scored the 33rd goal from a direct kick. Bayern are now on form ahead of their semi-final double-header with Real Madrid.
