Oktagon decided to present some news at the OKTAGON TIME press conference. Among them is the new P4P rankings, which determine the organization’s top fighters across the weight classes. The voters consisted of journalists and experts, but promoter Ondrej Novotny was not satisfied with the results.
That’s also why there was apparently some adjustment that wasn’t specified. How else could Katharina Dalisda, who had been omitted by all those who published the top ten, get into the ranking? Either they forgot or they did not know that women were also to be included in the ranking.
So the wrestlers in the first edition were Patrik Kincl, Karlos Vémola, Hatef Moeil, Katharina Dalisda, Losene Keita, Bojan Velickovic, Andreas Michailidis, Mate Sanikidze, Felipe Lima and David Kozma.
The second place in particular is strange in that Vémola always won against an opponent who was ranked high above him and if he got someone equal in the form of Kincl, he fell. He should be in the rankings, but certainly not this high.
There were updates in ranking after Oktagon 50 gala
Now there have been changes after the Oktagon 51 gala and there have been no changes to the top two positions. However, the third position is now held by Keita, who understandably complained before the tournament because he didn’t like being so low.
Ronald Paradeiser then joined the rankings, winning the title with a win over Ivan Buchinger. He currently holds eighth place, completely eliminating David Kozma, who will probably not return until next summer.
