Oktagon decided to present some news at the OKTAGON TIME press conference. Among them is a new P4P ranking that identifies the organization’s best fighters across the weight classes. Voted on by the media and experts. The winner is Patrik Kincl, followed by Karlos Vémola.

Oktagon, just like last year, prepared a spectacular press conference before the tournament in Ostrava. This time, of course, he announced a few news and among them was the new P4P (pound for pound) ranking.

For those who don’t know what it is, it is in short a ranking between weights. It is a subjective evaluation by selected people, in this case the media and other experts led by members of the organization. It seeks to determine the organization’s current best fighter.

History should not be taken into account, but the rules for the media in the voting were not specified, allowing everyone to decide for themselves how they perceive it.

The results are out and the organization’s best fighter according to the media and experts is Patrik Kincl. He is followed by Karlos Vémola, who is also a champion, and a welterweight.

Surprisingly at the bottom is Losene Keita, who has notched his only career defeat so far due to an unlucky injury. He was edged out by Hatef Moeil thanks to winning the title in his last tournament. The only woman in the rankings is Katharina Dalisda.

Oktagon P4P rankings

1. Patrik Kincl
2. Karlos Vémola
3. Hatef Moeil
4. Katharina Dalisda
5. Losene Keita
6. Bojan Velickovic
7. Andreas Michailidis
8. Mate Sanikidze
9. Felipe Lima
10. David Kozma

This Saturday, the Oktagon 50 tournament will see two title fights. Losene Keita, coming off an injury, will challenge Niko Samsonidse for the vacant featherweight title, while Ivan Buchinger and Ronald Paradeiser will battle for the lightweight belt in a rematch.
