Kincl knows the date of his title defence! He will face the Pole in March in Ostrava, where it will be a very busy card

Patrik Kincl has recovered from his injury and now has a title defense announced. His opponent will be Piotr Wawrzyniak, who defeated Vlasto Cepo in December and the earliest possible date is March 2nd in Ostrava. The tournament will be a busy one, as it includes the Tipsport Gamechanger project.

An injury to Patrik Kincl deprived Vlasto Cepo of an opponent at the last tournament of 2023. The Slovak did not lose the match, however, as shortly before the tournament, Piotr Wawrzyniak of Poland, who was a slight underdog, came forward to take the fight, but more so in the eyes of the domestic fans.

Many thought that Cepo had been fed, but the opposite was true. The Pole showed undeniable qualities and managed to defeat Cepo after an attractive battle. Thanks to this he became the interim middleweight champion and can measure his strength with Kincl.

The date was uncertain and there was speculation that he might prefer to wait until June when the tournament in Prague´s Eden, where his rival Karlos Vémola plans to finish his career, takes place. Kincl himself then outlined that there was talk of tournaments in March and April.
