Czechs in action! Antonín Barák the man of the match, Vladimír Coufal among the best Kladivar players
The Czech national team is starting to get into decent shape. This is only a good thing ahead of the upcoming barrage for the 2022 World Cup. David Zima shone in Italy with the most key passes in the Turin game and also a very solid knowledge of Italian. He was followed by other Czechs. Antonín Barák scored a hat-trick and assisted on one goal.

Let’s start with the Italian Serie A, where Antonín Barák shone. The native of Pribram signed for all of Verona’s goals! Hellas beat Sassuolo 4: 2 and jumped to 10th place in the table.
The prestigious WhoScored server awarded Barak a sensational 9.62 rating and he was clearly voted man of the match. In the match he had 65 touches with the ball (the third highest number on the pitch), made three key passes, got on the end line 7 times (the most on the pitch), his passing success rate reached 84% (the best of Verona) and he also scored two successful dribbles.
These are really great numbers and this gala performance of the Czech offensive all-rounder is great news for Czech football!
Vladimír Coufal’s performance
Vladimír Coufal also gave an above-standard performance in another TOP competition. He was the only one of the Czech trio playing for West Ham. Tomáš Souček is still ill and Alex Král didn’t even get a minute.
Coufal, unlike Barak, cannot be completely satisfied, the Hammers fell to Leeds 2:3 at home, with Jack Harrison scoring a hat-trick playing left-back. Anyway, the Czech back is not responsible for even one goal scored.
Vladimír Coufal made 72 touches with the ball during the match (the second highest number on the pitch) and despite his smaller stature won 6 header duels (the most on the pitch).
As far as defensive work is concerned, he and Manuel Lanzini were the best at winning balls (for WHU). Coufal won the ball in a foot to foot duel 4 times and intercepted Leeds’ pass twice.
