Barcelona are better than Real Madrid, new signing Raphinha is clear. He has a chance to prove his words in just a few days

He arrived in Barcelona only a few days ago, but he has already made his way around very quickly. The Brazilian winger arrived for 60 million euros from Leeds and immediately made his way to Real Madrid, the reigning Champions League winners.

The Brazilian winger seems to be an obligatory tradition at Barcelona. Ronaldinho, Neymar, Coutinho and now Raphinha. While the first two can certainly consider their engagements at Camp Nou a success, Coutinho has absolutely failed to deliver.

And what about Raphinha? What he has in common with the current Aston Villa player is that he came from the Premier League, not from Liverpool but from Leeds. He scored 11 goals and added 3 assists for the last non-relegated team in the English league.

And he made a great debut for Barcelona. He scored a goal and two assists in the 6-0 win against Inter Miami.

And he immediately started thinking about his biggest rival, the Culés. On Sunday 24 July, Barcelona will face the El Clásico, a clash with the hated Real Madrid.

“You want to score goals in every game. Especially if it’s El Clásico,” Raphinha urged his team ahead of the upcoming clash in a post-match interview.

“I think we are better than Real Madrid. I can’t wait to play against them,” the 25-year-old winger added.

Last season, Barcelona finished 13 points behind Real Madrid and lost to them in the Super Cup. Having dominated only one of the last six games, Raphinha now has the perfect opportunity to prove his words true.
