The Oktagon MMA organization keeps moving forward and it is almost clear that we should see a football stadium next summer. The only question is which one. The chairman of Slavia, Jaroslav Tvrdík, has now revealed that it should be in Eden.
The Oktagon MMA organization keeps moving forward and it is almost clear that we should see a football stadium next summer. The only question is which one. The chairman of Slavia, Jaroslav Tvrdík, has now revealed that it should be in Eden.
In the summer we were part of the tournament in Prague’s Štvanice, where Oktagon was last presented. He has decided to replace this popular tournament with another, but it has not been revealed which one.
Almost everyone thought of a tournament at the football stadium, after all, where else to move than in this direction. And there is currently one in the Czech Republic that at least partially meets the conditions of the organization.
It is Prague’s Eden, where Prague Slavia plays its matches. In the past, there was talk that Oktagon had not reached an agreement with Slavia and a tournament in Bratislava at Tehelny Pole could be close.
But now it seems that the Eden option is back. In fact, the chairman of the board of directors of Slavia was interviewed for the new format of the podcast Where the Hare Runs, and during that interview the option of an MMA tournament in Eden was supposed to be discussed.
And even a deal was reportedly reached, because among other things, Mr. Tvrdík in his post on the social network X (formerly Twitter) writes: And of course MMA in Eden during the summer break.”
The organization itself has not yet confirmed this information and it is not expected to happen in the coming days. Its primary focus is on upcoming tournaments, with a packed card in Bratislava in early October.
After that, the premiere in Manchester will follow, and at the end of the year we will of course see tournaments in Ostrava or O2 Arena. And who could start in Eden? The most likely option is the dernier of Karlos Vémola and Attila Vegh.
