Saturday in Frankfurt belonged to the Oktagon tournament. The local Festhalle was sold out and fans were looking forward to seeing their stars. One of them was the new iron in the fire, Kerim Engizek, who would like to conquer the middleweight division. He made a fantastic debut.

Kerim Engizek is one of those fighters for whom performance speaks first and foremost. He wasn’t very talkative in his pre-tournament interview, but the fact is that his scores also spoke for themselves.

When Oktagon signed him, this puncher boasted a record of 18-4, plus he held a streak of 11 straight wins and finishes most of his fights before the limit, scoring 7 first round knockouts.

In Frankfurt, however, he registered another one and is 19-4. In Festhalle, which was on his side, he confirmed his role as a big favorite and literally obliterated Argentine fighter Matias Juarez.

Juarez came into the fight active, but Engizek expected it and didn’t let anything throw him off. On the contrary. He quickly read his style, let him come to him, avoided the attack and landed brutal punches from the counter.

The Argentine went down immediately and Engizek didn’t have to add another punch. A knockout in style. And at 1:39.

Engizek has been mentioned by fans as a potential replacement for a title fight with Patrik Kincl following the departure of Robert Bryczek to the UFC. However, he wasn’t focused on that before his Oktagon debut.

He was only focused on his fight and after that fight he had a clear message for the organization’s management, ” Suck the money, I want the middleweight title!”
