After the tournament in Prague’s Štvanica, Oktagon took a break for a while. Now it’s back and we have the Oktagon 46 tournament on Saturday in Frankfurt, Germany.
David Kozma will once again challenge Bojan Velickovic, who he almost fell to in the past. Louis Glismann will try to get through Andreas Michailidis’ Greek in the final.
We can also look forward to the reserve matches of Marcel Grabinski against Apollo Silva or Christian Jungwirth against Ioannis Palaiologos. The women’s strawweight division will be the main event and Katharina Dalisda and Jacinta Austin will fight for the title.
On Friday morning, the wrestlers and fighters had their traditional weigh-ins and the very first attempt did not go as expected. Slovakian Daniel Hromek overweighted by 0.3 kilograms, which shouldn’t be much of a problem for him to finish.
Vlado Šikič was in a similar position and will face another Slovak, František Fodor. The Croat overweighted by half a kilogram and if he fails to cut weight to the limit, he will have to hand over part of his payout to his opponent.
But the biggest overweight was the home fighter Grabinski, who fights in the welterweight division and the limit is 77.6 kilograms. The German weighed in at 78.9 and will hardly drop that weight.
So it’s possible that the fight with Apollo won’t happen as he will have the option to cancel it. Let’s hope that the Brazilian, who recently created an account on the OnlyFans platform, will be amenable to the fight and not deprive the fans of an interesting duel.
