I said it from the beginning, I’m the Gamechanger for everyone, Vémola reacts to Kinclova’s decision
Karlos Vémola reacts for iSport.cz to Patrik Kincelo’s decision to prefer their mutual match than to go to the Tipsport Gamechanger pyramid.
Vémola was preferred to Gamechanger
It’s done! The domestic fight scene has long awaited a decision from Octagon middleweight champion Patrik Kinclo.
He was supposed to defend his middleweight title with Terminator at Oktagon 38 in December, but Vemola had to withdraw from the fight a few weeks before the fight due to health problems.
Kincl was supposed to be the main face of the project, but chose to rematch Vemola, who he fought back in 2018 under the XFN organization.
Vemola won the fight on points then. But there was quite a hostile atmosphere between the two fighters, which should have led to the coveted rematch. However, Vémola moved to the Octagon at that time and the fight did not happen.
I knew it, I’m everybody’s gamechanger, says Terminator
“He’s making the same wrong decision he made four years ago,” Vémola said in an interview with iSport. “I think he had a great shot at the seventy-seven back then, he could have been another Czech competitor in the UFC. But by beating him and then making some bad decisions, his UFC signing never happened.”
“It proves that I really understand Czech MMA and it’s exactly what I said from the beginning. I’m a gamechanger for every fighter and from the beginning I had no doubt that I was lying in Kinclov’s head so much that he’d just rather come with me,” he said, saying he foresaw his rival’s decision.
The organization has announced the fight for May 20 at Prague’s O2 Arena, which is plenty of time for both to prepare for the duel. “The timing is as good as it can be. It’s the best possible time to prepare. It’s also far enough before the tournament in Štvanice, which is my heart’s desire,” he concluded.
