Fans are angry at the Octagon and Vemola! The organization is blamed for the promo despite clear information, Karlos is sent into retirement
Karlos Vémola will not play against Patrik Kinclo due to health problems. The long-promoted duel may never happen again, as the current belt holder will move up to welterweight for the Tipsport Game Changer project. What do fans of the organization have to say about the announcement?
Last week, information came to light that Karlos Vémola was in the hospital due to severe inflammation, but promoter Ondrej Novotny continued to say that there was no indication that the fight would not happen.
But everything changed today, when the organization received an update. Vémola will not be able to fight against Patrik Kinclova and he will have another opponent.
“Of course we are all very sorry about this situation. We wish Karel a speedy recovery and I believe we will find a new date soon. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this situation.
TheOKTAGON 38 tournament will offer a lot of great fights even without Karlos, in which 2 titles will be on the line and where besides Patrik Kinclo, for whom we are currently looking for an opponent, other big names of the Octagon like Magard, Macek, Peñaz or Škvor will be present,” Novotný said in a press release.
However, the fans were not happy with this info. Opinions vary, but we can see a few who are already sending Terminator into professional retirement.
“Who gives a shit, Karel is more of an advertisement than a fighter. I’m not taking away his career, but no one is getting younger,” wrote an Instagram user with the nickname koxinho_10 under the post.
A lot of fans are also bothered by the timing. They blame the organization for promoting the tournament mainly with Vémolou and speculate that they had the information long ago and were just waiting for the right moment.
Unfortunately, many saw a similar situation last year when Vémola was also injured before an important duel. Finding the culprit is difficult, but here it probably isn’t.
