Octagon MMA dropped a major bombshell when they announced a new fighter for Gamechanger! We all know him very well, which makes it all the more of a surprise.

That’s a sum unprecedented on the domestic fight scene and all the players will earn a good chunk of money. The promoters of Oktagon have so far announced seven fighters from the ranks of their own organization at the press conference “Oktagon Time”.

The seven, which includes the best wrestlers of the organization, was completed after the subsequent Oktagon 37 tournament by the newly crowned champion of the division Kaik Brito. He and Apollo Leandro Silva were the second non-European fighters to compete, despite the organization promoting the tournament as European.

Among the Europeans, the biggest European stars of the Octagon Bojan Velickovic, Maté Kertész, Christian Jungwirth and Christian Eckerlin will be in the pyramid. The Czech Republic will be represented by the pair of David Kozma and Patrik Kincl.

Today the first name of the other side of the pyramid was announced and it’s a bombshell!

Oktagon MMA today revealed another name that is active on the domestic scene. And it is a real bomb. The star of the Slovak scene Samuel “Pirate” Kristofic is going to fight!

“What’s on your heart is on your tongue. This is not the only thing that defines the controversial Slovak fighter and excellent stand-up guy “Pirate” Krištofič. The winner of Season 2 of the OKTAGON Challenge reality show, former interim middleweight champion and also a fighter who has never been finished before the limit,” the organization announced on its Instagram a while ago.

Octagon already revealed at the aforementioned press conference that there will be eight fighters on one side of the pyramid, which will be seeded by the organization itself. These eight were reportedly not supposed to face each other.

This means, and the organization confirms this in its post, that Pirate will be a member of the other side of the pyramid. He will thus face one of the aforementioned names of the first eight.

“And beware, not as a deployed fighter of OKTAGON, but as a member of the second pyramid. Thus, it is quite likely that he will face one of the seeded fighters in the first round,” says Oktagon.
