Real Madrid have their most brilliant signing yet. From Borussia Dortmund comes Jude Bellingham, one of the greatest talents in the world.
Fran García, Brahim Díaz and Jude Bellingham. Real Madrid have announced their third summer signing, this time in the centre of midfield. There was huge interest in the English midfielder, but Bellingham didn’t want to play for either Liverpool or Manchester City, he reportedly only wanted to join Real Madrid.
Borussia Dortmund announced the transfer last week, along with the amount, which is 103 million euros + bonuses.
Real Madrid came up with an official announcement only today, adding the information that the 19-year-old has signed a six-year contract at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The official presentation will take place tomorrow, Thursday 15 June at 12 noon at Ciudad Real Madrid. Bellingham will then answer questions from the media.
Bellingham will face a lot of competition in midfield. In addition to youngsters Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, he will also come up against experienced icons Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
However, it is 99% their last season, Bellingham should take over the leadership role after that. Reportedly, their staying on also appealed to the Englishman as he wants to gain experience from both icons.
While Bellingham is arguably the greatest super talent in the world, he might not be the most brilliant transfer this summer. In fact, PSG reportedly want to sell Kylian Mbappé, who is refusing to extend his contract, and Real Madrid are monitoring the situation closely.
