Kaik Brito: Kozma has a big heart. The longer he holds on, the more I’ll cut him until he falls. Will the champion be afraid?
Kaik Brito is about to get the chance of a lifetime. He can win the Octagon title. He will try to take the belt from the dominant champion David Kozma on December 3 at OKTAGON 37 in Ostrava. What did he reveal on the Road to OKTAGON 37?
Kaik Brito is about to get the chance of a lifetime. He can win the Octagon title. He will try to take the belt from the dominant champion David Kozma on December 3 at OKTAGON 37 in Ostrava. What did he reveal on the Road to OKTAGON 37?
From a humble family to an Octagon title fight
Kaik Brito is a classic Brazilian. He used to play football in his youth and comes from a not-so-rich family. He considers himself rather modest. He took up combat sports at the age of 14. He worked during school and trained in the evenings.
Now he’s about to get the biggest fight of his career. He’ll be fighting for the Octagon title. “I’ve gotten somewhere we never expected to go. We started from nothing,” let the Brazilian fighter be heard on the Road to OKTAGON 37.
He also confirmed the importance of the Czechoslovakian organization’s title in a recent exclusive interview with Ruik. In the interview, he talked about David Kozma and his future, among other things.
Brito is confident about the champion Kozma
Because of one of the answers in the aforementioned interview, a slight trashtalk arose between Kaiko Brito and David Kozma. The Pink Panther more or less laughed at the fact that without the Brazilian having the belt, he already knows who he would defend it with. Brito, however, had a clear reaction.
In the Octagon documentary, however, he had a bit more to say about Kozma. In particular, he talked about what he thinks the fight might look like and what he actually expects from the champion.
“We’ve staged Kozma. We know he’s durable. He fights with his heart a lot. But I work harder than I’ve ever worked. I’ve fought opponents who have tried to take me down. I alwaysgo for the knockout and the finish,” Brito says.
The Brazilian wants to bring the belt to Brazil and he intends to do everything to do so. And he certainly has no problem with confidence:: “I’m going to try to put him away all the time. I expect him to hold it for a long time. He’s a heartbreaker. The longer he holds on, the more I’m going to cut him until he falls.”
Brito imagines the fight could go into the fourth round. What impresses him about Kozma is his drive to score and his strength of will. But he says the Pink Panther has never fought an opponent with such power and punching power. Once he feels them, the Brazilian said he starts to worry.
It’s also worth noting that Kozma doubts the Brit’s fitness. So Brito offered an interesting challenge. Will they sign an eight round contract?
