Vaclav Sivak is one of the most talked about people in the combat sports industry in the last days. The young fighter has more wins under his belt and a large number of sought after fights ahead of him. Who will we see Sivak fight next? That’s what his manager tried to answer.
Vaclav Sivak showed up at the RFA tournament and then at Heroes Gate. He won in both organizations without much trouble and there is talk about who will be next.
His next match has been announced, he is scheduled to show against Tomas Deák on December 27. However, there is speculation that the fight won’t happen after all.
“I think he will pull out of the fight, it will be official soon, I think he is afraid of Vasek, I don’t see anything else. But we definitely want to fight, we want a good name.
If we have to go with an MMA fighter in boxing, let it be a top MMA fighter. Vasek came in, why don’t we box with Buchinger. That could be attractive for the audience,” said Sivak’s manager Adrian Smrcka in an interview with Kaocko.cz.
There are more dream names. Especially in terms of attractiveness of the fight. There is new talk about a fight with Losen Keita, before that with Tadeáš Růžička or Lubošek Lesák.
Especially the last two fights are very likely in the next year. But what about Keita? Sivak has asked for a million crowns for the MMA fight, so either the organization will give it to him or the fight will be under different rules.
According to Srmcka, the Octagon asked for the fight at the last tournament of the year, and it’s not exactly a stretch for logical reasons. So if we do see this match, it won’t be until next year.
“Another MMA champion has the need to challenge Vasek. This was reflected at Heroes Gate when we discussed it with Ondra Novotny on Friday to see if it was a realistic challenge. Ondra would be interested in the fight on 12/30, which is a marathon that can’t be made and Keita is a very good opponent.
Vasek wasn’t at ease before the Heroes Gate fight, Keita, gloves, money were being discussed, Deák was being discussed, plus we turned down the Belgium fight. There are a lot of offers, we want six matches a year, not twelve,” he added.
