Erling Haaland is currently one of football’s biggest sensations. After his move to England, he is silencing all doubters about his qualities. He is astonishing the football world with his incredible shooting statistics. But he might not be in the Premier League for long.
That the Norwegian striker is a great talent has been known for years. He scored goals in large numbers at Salzburg and Dortmund. However, when he moved to England, many doubted his qualities.
The reason? Both the Austrian and German top competitions are said not to have such quality with such quality defenders. But Erling Haaland shows that even in the famous Premier League there is virtually no defence that can stop him.
The Manchester City star is scoring goal after goal. His numbers are phenomenal. In eight league games he has scored a hat-trick three times. Cristiano Ronaldo, for example, has three hat-tricks in 232 Premier League games.
Overall, his record this season is 11 competitive games, 17 goals and 3 assists. However, his stint in England may not last long. According to El Chiringuito, the Norwegian sharpshooter has a release clause in his contract.
This clause is said to be related to a potential transfer to Real Madrid. According to Marca, the clause is set to be set at €200 million from 2024 to 2025. After that, it is said to be reduced to €175 million.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid were trying to acquire Kylian Mbappé, while Barcelona wanted Haaland. So it will be interesting to see what kind of transfers we will see in the near future.
The fact is, however, that Haaland does indeed seem to be getting a taste of other leagues. At least that’s what his father Alfie-Inge Haaland has outlined. In fact, he has said that his son can make it in all the top leagues, something he might want to realistically achieve.
