The match between Patrik Kincelo and Karlos Vemola in the Oktagon 38 tournament is slowly approaching. It will take place at the end of this year and it will be the most expensive fight in the history of Czech MMA. What did the champion Kincl say about his opponent?
When Patrik Kincl defended his title as Oktagon middleweight champion, it was pretty much certain that his next opponent would be Karlos Vémola. The organization officially confirmed their fight on Monday.o
Their rematch will take place on December 30 at Oktagon 38, quite possibly the most expensive tournament in the organization’s history. Both fighters will take home the biggest payday of their careers.
But it will be a tough match for both sides, Kincl will not want to allow a second defeat in the rematch. “I’m expecting a lot of shit, I’ll often end my training sessions in cramps and on the ground.
Karel has a contact style, wrestling is the hardest physically, I will prepare for that. The good thing is that he has strong first rounds, in the later ones I will take the initiative,” he said in an interview with iDNES.
What progress has he made since his last fight with Terminator? “I hope I’ve worked on the mental side. I can work better with the pre-fight stress and I learned that what I find in training I am able to sell in the fight.
The game against Lohore helped me to do just that. I feel the biggest shift is that I can trust the things that fly in training,” he added. So we definitely have something to look forward to.
And who will be the winner? That’s in the stars, but while fans and bookmakers favour Vemola, combat sports personalities are more likely to trust Kinclova.
