Champions League
Chance for Pilsen? Barcelona is planning a rotation. Which stars will be missing in the match with Viktoria?
Viktoria Plzeň can enjoy a great start to the new season. The qualification to the Champions League group and almost 100% record in the league say a lot. On Wednesday, however, the Westerners will face a heavyweight in the form of Barcelona. However, they are not without a chance.

The only Czech team will be in the Champions League on Wednesday. Viktoria Plzen have not lost yet this season and if they can maintain their unbeaten run until the weekend, it would be a huge success.
They will play their first match in the millionaire’s competition at the famous Camp Nou, the sacred home of Barcelona. And they are not doing badly in the new season either.
The Catalans have four competitive matches under their belt and have won three times by a goal difference, once by a draw. Robert Lewandowski is in great form, but the other stars are not out of form either.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, we won’t see some of the stars on the pitch against Plzen. Coach Xavi is planning to rotate a few players in order to rest them.
Ousmane Dembélé, who is notoriously injury prone, will be able to save his strength. However, he is not alone. The extratalent Gavi is also expected to miss out.
To make matters worse, Xavi is also set to replace his central defenders. Eric García and Ronald Araujo can rest after four great performances.
