Barcelona are doing their best to be competitive. As well as trying to raise money wherever it can, it is equally trying to strengthen the playing squad so that it can fight for the Spanish league title.
One of the biggest reinforcements is Robert Lewandowski, one of the best players in the whole world within the last few years. The Polish sharpshooter has regularly been around the 50-goal mark in recent seasons.
Barcelona believe they can build on those numbers in the Catalan capital. On Friday, they introduced him to their fans. 59 026 fans arrived at the famous Camp Nou shrine to watch Lewandowski’s stunts with the ball.
Several players have already made mistakes under the weight of the Camp Nou during their introductions. One example is Ousmane Dembélé, who was the subject of jeers after his performance. The Polish striker, however, has done no such thing.
Lewandowski imitated, for example, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, former Barcelona player and current AC Milan star. His technique also impressed the club’s social media accounts administrator, earning him the nickname “Lewandinho”.
Lewandowski is clearly enjoying the change of scenery immensely. He has signed a three-year contract at Barcelona. “It was amazing to see so many people at my show. I have no words. I want to show my art on the pitch and make fans all over the world happy,” the Pole let it be heard.
