Vemola? My plan is clear, I’ll just shut him down or he’ll give up, Pasternak believes. What does the Terminator say?
Karlos Vémola is back! After more than a year, he will be in an MMA fight and it won’t be easy. His opponent is very experienced and could be dangerous on the ground. And he’s very confident. What does the Terminator think?
Karlos Vémola is back! After more than a year, he will be in an MMA fight and it won’t be easy. His opponent is very experienced and could be dangerous on the ground. And he’s very confident. What does the Terminator think?
Terminator last fought more than a year ago, when he defeated Milan Datelinka. He did have a boxing match with Marpo recently, but this will be a different story. Because Michal Pasternak is definitely not food.
The Polish veteran may be a tougher opponent for Karlos Vemola than was Ďatelinka or Vaclav Mikulasek before him. And probably he will be. He may even be a tougher opponent than Alex Lohoré. The reason is simple.
Pasternak is also used to fighting at heavyweight, the fight will be at 93 kilograms, he will have a height advantage, he is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and he is a real tough guy, having fought in the Wotore organization, which organizes MMA fights without gloves, and was a champion there.
And Pasternak has confidence in Vemola. “My trip went smoothly, my manager took care of the details and I can’t complain. We’re going for the win. My gameplan is simple. I’ll just go, do my thing, shut him down, or he’ll give up,” he expressed in the In Sight series.
During the staredown, Pasternak looked hungry, clearly looking to claim a very valuable scalp. But he didn’t upset the Terminator in any way. The Olomouc native reaffirmed that he doesn’t think the staredown had any effect.
The only thing that matters is how someone looks in the cage during the fight. “We’ll see how he looks. He has had dozens or hundreds of fights, he looks like a seasoned warrior, so I believe he will be ready, but not as good as me,” Vémola is clear.
It’s worth noting then that Vémola admitted he wanted a stand-up fighter as an opponent. So he wasn’t that happy with Pasternak’s choice. However, he did not reject him and he has quite a challenge ahead of him.
