A clash between two giants and favourites for the overall victory awaits us in the Champions League semi-final. Real Madrid welcome Manchester City and must close the one-goal gap from the first leg. Who will be happier?

The first game was a real advertisement for football. Citizens won 4: 3, there could have been many more goals. The game spilled over from one side to the other, Manchester were objectively the better team, but Real Madrid have the best player in the world at the moment – Karim Benzema.

And what to expect in the rematch? Quite possibly a very different picture of the match. After all, Real Madrid are very strong at home, having already turned several European games at the hallowed Santiago Bernabéu.

On the other hand, Manchester City are also a very different team away, just remember how they fought their way to progress over Atlético at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Real Madrid won the league title at the weekend and celebrated straight away with the fans. He’s in such a great mood that he wants to transfer it to the pitch.

Thus, several leading journalists in Spain have reported that Carlo Ancelotti wants to take advantage of the Bernabéu’s strength and deploy a high and aggressive pressing from the very first minute to score the first goal as soon as possible.

Either Real will score quickly or Manchester will open the back door and score. That’s why I’m betting on a goal by the 15th minute.
