Decimated Slavia wants to reach the semifinals! What line-up will they field?

Experiment number 3. Slavia has another chance to reach the semi-finals of a European competition, having failed twice against Chelsea and Arsenal. But Slavia are going to Feyenoord with a pretty decimated squad, so what kind of starting eleven will Jindřich Trpišovský put on the pitch at De Kuip Arena?

Experiment number 3. Slavia has another chance to reach the semi-finals of a European competition, having failed twice against Chelsea and Arsenal. But Slavia are going to Feyenoord with a pretty decimated squad, so what kind of starting eleven will Jindřich Trpišovský put on the pitch at De Kuip Arena?

The coach of Slavia said in exaggeration that it would be easier to name players who can play than the other way around. The absentees are a mixed bag. Due to red cards, Aiham Ousou and Srdjan Plavsic can’t play, while Lukáš Provod, David Hovorka, David Jurásek, Daniel Fila and Jakub Hromada are not on the roster for the cups.

Add to that the injured Petr Ševčík, Daniel Samek, Jan Bořil, Lukáš Masopust, Michael Krmenčík and you have a full eleven absentees.

And there is still a question mark over Peter Olayinka, who was injured in the weekend match in Pilsen. Oscar Dorley, who also picked up an injury, is fortunately fine and should start in Rotterdam.

Trpišovský has 13 players at his disposal, the starting line-up will be made up of A-team players, two will be rotated, the rest of the bench will be occupied by 17-year-old youngsters.

The only question is in goal. Will Ondřej Kolář, who is slowly returning to the number one position, catch? Or are cups the domain of Aleš Mandous?

Ondřej Kúdela, who has finally recovered, should return to the defence, and there is also the possibility of Tomáš Holeš being withdrawn, but if the Sšín captain is fully healthy, he will start.

Probable Slavie line-up::

Kolář
Bah – Kúdela – Kacaraba – Oscar
Holeš – Traoré
Schranz – Lingr – Olayinka
Sor

On the bench, Mads Emil Madsen and Maksim Talovjerov would also be ready from the A-team. Adam Pudil, Miloš Pudil, Jan Trédl, David Beránek and Matěj Žitný will round out the Red and White bench.
