The Oktagon 31 tournament is over, but Oktagon Prime 5 is coming soon, where the popular fighter Milos Petrasek was supposed to appear.
However, he got injured and his participation against Rafael Xavier is out of the question. In Ondrej Novotny’s MMA Flight Through the World podcast, he described what happened to him.
“I would just like to comment on it so people don’t say I’m po**ed about the fight and that’s why I don’t want to take it. I had an injury, I tore a muscle. It’s been about 2-3 months. I started training, I thought it was fine, and then just in the sparring session with Patrik Kinclo, it snapped again.
I had a follow-up appointment and they told me that if it happened to me again, I could tear it and if they sewed it up, it would be a year of recovery. That’s why we decided not to have the fight now in March,” he said.
We may well see him start at the popular summer tournament at Štvanica, which is always packed and no one wants to miss it.
For Petrasek, however, it is a significant complication in his quest for the title, which is vacant again after the departure of Viktor Peshta. He will have to wait for his chance.
