Paradeiser calls on the excellent Keita! Will they square off for the match with Buchinger?
Losene Keita made his Octagon debut on Saturday. And it couldn’t have been better, the 23-year-old Belgian put on an outstanding performance to claim the spotlight. He then challenged the champion Ivan Buchinger, but another Slovakian also wants to fight him.
Losene Keita made his Octagon debut on Saturday. And it couldn’t have been better, the 23-year-old Belgian put on an outstanding performance to claim the spotlight. He then challenged the champion Ivan Buchinger, but another Slovakian also wants to fight him.
Karol Rysavy didn’t stand a chance, Losene Keita came into the fight as if he had been torn from the chain and the Slovak took one punch after another and finally left with the sadness of defeat.
Keita asked for a title shot at the subsequent press conference, despite this being only his first time in the Octagon organization.
However, it must be said that he deserved it with his performance, and many say that Ivan Buchinger would have had no chance against him, or would have had big problems with him.
“I beat your number three. Normally I would be considered as a possible title challenger now. Why not? I have enough experience for that. I’m 7-0 in the amateurs and I’m the same way now in the pros. So I think I have enough experience to beat Ivan Buchinger,” Keita told MMA Shorties.
He was then challenged by Ronald Paradeiser, who fell to Buchinger in the title fight. “Nice performance Mr. Keita. However, it’s too early for a title fight. Don’t forget about me. At OKTAGON 31 we will give people this fight. A sold out arena deserves it. I’ll be ready, how about you?” he wrote on social media.
Keita didn’t hesitate to reply, admitting that he didn’t know Buchinger was injured and would like to fight Paradeiser, albeit for the interim championship. But the Octagon cannot be expected to agree to such a condition.
Buchinger still has time to defend himself, and it makes more sense that Keita and Paradaiser will face off to see who can take on Buchinger.
