More unpleasant news for fans and promoters of the Oktagon MMA organization. The tournament number 29 will have to do without another star. Vaclav Mikulasek got injured.
One unpleasant news after another. First, the promoters had to move the Oktagon 29 tournament from Ostrava to Brno due to new government regulations, then during the week it was announced that Ivan Buchinger, who was supposed to fight David Kozma for the title, was injured.
But should the bad news end there? No. Václav Mikulášek must also be crossed off the list of fighters for the tournament.
“Unfortunately, Vasek will not be in Brno. After falling down the stairs tonight he is in the hospital with a nasty leg injury and probably also a head injury. We are keeping our fingers crossed for him and will help him to the best of our ability,” the organisation said in a statement.
Tomas Bolo, who was supposed to be his opponent, has been informed of the situation. It is possible that he will get a replacement opponent if he wants one.
Interestingly, in a recent interview with Sport.cz, Baba Jaga said that he does not want to fight in Brno. His anger was more than obvious.
“It’s a big problem for me. On Tuesday morning I had about 200 T-shirts made Ostrava is my cottage, which I probably won’t use in Brno. People are angry, I’m angry too, I wanted to wrestle at home,” Mikulášek let himself be heard.
Besides, he has Ostrava sponsors who expected him to present himself in Ostrava. “Overall, I don’t like it. I’ll say it completely straight, no matter how it sounds. Bolo is important for me in Ostrava. I don’t want to be arrogant, I’m not arrogant, but I’m telling the truth. It has no meaning for me elsewhere,” Baba Jaga said.
It is also worth mentioning that Mikulasek recently revealed that the newly formed RFA organization is interested in him.
