Great show on Monday! Arsenal led, lost and saved a point in the setup

Arsenal failed to win their home game in the eighth round of the Premier League, drawing 2-2 with Crystal Palace.Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring, Christian Benteke and Odsone Edouard turned the tide, and Alexandre Lacazette scored the final 2-2 in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

The goal came from the first chance of the match, Nicolas Pepe’s shot was still deflected by the goalkeeper, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s shot was short. In the 22nd minute, Emile Smith-Rowe fired from outside the box, but Vicente Guaita made the save.

The visitors responded six minutes later, but Christian Benteke’s shot was saved by Aaron Ramsdale. In the first-half stoppage time, the England international still flashed a superb save when he cleared a Conor Gallagher volley.

After the change of sides, Thomas Partey tried from thirty-five yards and just missed. In the 50th minute, the visitors celebrated. Benteke, after winning the ball, found his feet and equalized with a ground shot.

The goal gave the Eagles a confidence boost and they controlled the game in the following minutes. In the 72nd minute, however, they almost lost the game when Aubameyang’s shot was deflected by Guaita with a great save.

A minute later, the away sector celebrated. Odsonne Edouard finished off a breakaway chance with a shot under the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Kieran Tierney headed the ball into the crossbar, centimetres short of the equaliser.

It was not until the fifth minute of stoppage time that Alexandre Lacazette found space in the whitewash and gave Guaita no chance. The match ended 2-2.
