Pest about Pütz: He is trying to challenge the good name of the Octagon. It’s undignified

Viktor Pest won the title fight with Stephan Pütz. The reason was the German’s injury, after which the doctor did not let him into the fourth round. Pütz wants a rematch at any cost, but his statement upset both the organization and Peshta himself.

The title fight of the Oktagon 28 tournament could offer a lot. But in the end, it ended the way nobody wanted it to. The fight between Viktor Peshta and Stephan Pütz was decided by the doctor.

He didn’t let the German go to the fourth round and the referee had to stop the fight. The winner was Peshta, who basically promised Pütz a rematch after the fight.

Pütz, however, wanted to get the fans on his side, so he speculated whether the referee of the fight, Pavel Touš, was Pešta’s manager, as he had once matchmaked him in Russia.

Touš himself objected to this and Peshta was annoyed by this statement. “He’s pushing for a rematch, I understand that from his side. On the other hand, he’s trying to undermine the good name of OKTAGON, he’s trying to create an artificial cause that referee Pavel Touš is my manager.

From my point of view it is a poor attempt, I find it undignified. If he wants a rematch, he should win a match, then we’ll have it. Just crying it out is undignified,” he said in an interview with Kaocko.

It’s possible we’ll see a rematch after all, though, at the Oktagon 30 tournament, which takes place at the O2 Arena. Oktagon wants two title fights, one is already arranged, Karlos Vémola will face Samuel Kristofich.
