Karlos Vémola has tasted six defeats in his career. But he is known for his long-lasting streaks without a loss. Who has been his toughest opponent in all that time and why wasn’t it Attila Végh?
Karlos Vémola has already fought 37 opponents. He has won 31 of them, only six times leaving the octagon defeated.
So the question is which of his opponents has been the toughest. The king of Czech MMA rushed to answer on his Instagram, surprising many.
“I think the toughest opponent I’ve ever had was (Jack) Hermansson. And that’s really world class,” Vémola said on the live broadcast.
He said his best opponent was not Attila Végh, who hasn’t fought since his win over Vémola, but there is still talk of a rematch.
“With Attila I wasn’t beaten by a better fighter, that’s why I want the rematch so much, but with Hermansson I can easily accept that I was beaten by a better fighter. Even if I got the rematch with him, I wouldn’t be all that happy. I would have a hard time preparing for that fight,” he added.
One can more or less agree with his words. With Attila, hopefully he will have a chance to prove whether he is right or not.
