The Vemola-Marpe fight? What a freak! He has a match with a singer and even more favorable rules, says Peshta

Viktor Pešta and Karlos Vémola will probably never be friends. Their not-so-warm relationship is constantly on display. Most recently, during one of the interviews the former gave to the media before his title fight.

When the name Viktor Peshta is mentioned, Karlos Vémola automatically comes to mind. Everybody would like to see their fight, to finally solve their “disputes”.

But we’ll have to wait a while for that. For now, we have to be satisfied with the fact that both fighters will continue to exchange opinions in front of the media.

In an interview with Refresher, Peshta explained what caused the animosity between him and Terminator. After his end in the UFC, he wanted to show the fans on the domestic scene, so he challenged Jiri Prochazka and just Vemola.

Procházka declined the offer, so did Vemola. The former did not comment on the challenge, the latter has not said anything positive about Peshta since.

The shootings in the media between the two are therefore not unique. Now the second Czech in the UFC has also commented on the boxing match that awaits the Terminator. And did he have any words of praise? You can’t say that.

“What’s interesting to me is why are they boxing together? Marpo has a background in Thai boxing, Vemola has a background in MMA. Why don’t they go in Thai boxing? That would be closer to classic MMA, but for some reason it’s in boxing. I doubt Marpo would want to fight in boxing if he had the opportunity to fight in Thai,” Peshta mused.

“I have a feeling that Vémola made that up. He was afraid to go in Thai boxing. I don’t see any other reason. So not only does he have a fight with a singer, but he has a fight with a singer under rules that are more favorable to him. That seems like a cop-out to me. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s how it looks to me,” he added.

Now, however, Peshta must focus on another challenge. On Saturday, he will face Stephan Pütz for the Octagon welterweight championship belt. Will he win it?
