A rematch with Attila? It’s about money. If he asks for nonsense, I won’t fight him for a few crowns, Vémola said
Karlos Vémola is currently injured, so he could not compete in the title fight with Marcin Naruszcka, who was challenged by Samuel Kristofich instead. The latter eventually won and his next fight is supposed to be with Vémola, but he still has a long recovery ahead of him.
Karlos Vémola is currently injured, so he could not compete in the title fight with Marcin Naruszcka, who was challenged by Samuel Kristofich instead. The latter eventually won and his next fight is supposed to be with Vémola, but he still has a long recovery ahead of him.
Karlos Vémola is recovering from a series of injuries that forced him to have surgery. Because of that, the November duel with Marpo had to be postponed.
His goal is to get well before the end of the year when he is scheduled to face Samuel Kristofich for the title. However, the recovery is very difficult for him.
“Health-wise, I believe we are on a very good path. The doctors are happy, I’m further along than expected. Mentally it’s not quite the same, to be honest,” he said in an interview with iSport.
There is a lot of talk about a fight with Viktor Peseta, which Vémola would take once he has the belt on his shoulder. He will now face Stephan Putz.
“Well, the interesting thing is what has come to me. He only wants to go with Pesta on the condition that he then goes with me, win or lose. Of course, I talked to Ondra Novotny (promoter of Oktagon MMA) about it, he asked me if I was OK with it. What can I say? If someone wants to get to me, let them win, right?
What do you mean, he’ll only take the fight with Peseta if he gets a fight with me afterwards? I want to fight the winners. Let’s see how it goes. I’m definitely rooting for the Czech fighter, that’s for sure. But Peshta, every time he had a challenge in front of him, he came through. We’ll see how he does now and how this fight for Vemola turns out. Because if one of them wins the title, I’ll be very interested, that’s for sure,” explained Vémola.
Recently, the real outlines of a rematch with Attila Vegh were also discussed. What does it look like? “There are some indications that there could be a rematch with Attila in the summer. I believe Attila would definitely go for it, but it’s about money.
However, I told the promoters to be realistic about it. If Attila asks for nonsense, I’m not going to fight him for a few crowns just to get the fight. Idon’t think I deserve that,” finished Terminator.
