I am proud of Pirates, it is a great honour for me as a coach, says Attila Végh

Samuel Kristofich has had a successful fight with Marcin Naruszczka and is now the interim middleweight champion of the Octagon. His coach Attila Végh is also very happy for him.
Attila Végh is taking a break from fighting, but he is not slowing down in the coaching field. Last time he was preparing Samuel Kristofich for an important fight for the interim middleweight title.
As every combat sports fan probably already knows, the fight ended successfully for the Slovakian side and Marcin Naruszcka had to accept a loss on points.
“I am very satisfied that Pirat won. We can be proud of the fact that we have the most belts in Czechoslovakia within the Oktagon organization, which is a great honour for us and for me as a coach,” Végh told Svet MMA.
Attila admitted that he is proud of the Pirate as he is aware of Naruszczek’s qualities. Besides, Kristofich found out about the fight at the last minute, having to deal with injured ribs.
“It looked like we were going to cancel the match. Thank God everything was fine in the end and the Pirate went into the match very well prepared physically and mentally,” revealed the Match of the Century winner.
Végh was happy with the fact that the judges gave Pirate all five rounds. In fact, he himself told his ward after every round that he was winning easily. However, after the fourth round, he told him that he had to work hard and get the last round to win 100%.
“Then I saw that Naruszczka was pointed out by the referee and he took away a point. That way I knew we would win the fight,” Attila finished his statement.
So now the long-awaited fight between Pirát and Karlos Vémolá for the rightful championship belt is on the agenda. However, the date is unknown as the Terminator is facing a series of surgeries that will keep him out of action.
The Pirate, however, is expected to fight for the title at the end of the year. If Vémola is not ready, the Slovakian fighter should face another challenger.
