The match for the title of interim champion makes no sense, the Pirate is clear. How confident is he about his Polish opponent?
Karlos Vémola is unable to take part in the title fight at Štvanice and will be replaced by Samuel Pirát Krištofič. If there is one thing that is a bit of an embarrassment, it is the fact that this is only supposed to be a title fight for the interim champion. What does the Slovak fighter himself have to say about it and how confident he is going into the fight?

Samuel Krištofič will replace Karlos Vémola in the main event of OKTAGON 26 on Štvanice. He will then face Marcin Naruszczka for the middleweight title.
But there’s a catch that a lot of people don’t understand. Not even the Pirate himself. What is it? That the title is only provisional.
“When we arranged the fight, it wasn’t discussed at all. I find it nonsensical and illogical. Themiddleweight division doesn’t have a titleholder, Karlos didn’t weigh in in his last fight and we don’t know if he will ever weigh in again,” Kristofich was heard saying in a stream on his YouTube channel.
He didn’t mean any offense, just alluding to age and physical wear and tear. So the Pirate himself is now waiting to see how Ondrej Novotny will explain the whole thing on MMA Flight Around the World.
“I don’t agree with it, probably nobody who saw it agrees with it. If Karlos was the champion and got hurt before the fight, I can understand that. But I don’t get it that way. Sometimes you make a mistake, but it’s better to admit it than to make a circus out of it,” Kristofich continued.
The Pirate dreams of a regular title. It is his big goal and dream. But Naruszczka won’t be an easy opponent, which the Slovakian fighter is well aware of.
“He is tough, he has an incredible amount of fights and finishes, he can take an awful lot, he is complex. He doesn’t have a distinct weakness on the ground or in his stance. I’m not expecting anything easy, but my mind is clearly set on winning the title,” said the Pirate.
Thus, Kristofich does not believe anything can stop his journey. But it will definitely be the biggest fight of his career so far.
