On May 20, the O2 Arena will see the biggest MMA tournament in the history of our scene. OKTAGON 43 will offer star names such as Patrik Kincl, Karlos Vémola, David Kozma and Alex Lohoré on one card.
Both, however, have something to say about the first-mentioned duel. The organization’s promoter Ondrej Novotny had both as guests on the MMA Flight Around the World podcast and besides breaking down their fight, he couldn’t help but ask how he sees the Kincl vs. Vémola duel.
Earlier, Lohoré was a guest on the live broadcast and he even has fight experience with both fighters. In his first duel in the Octagon, he faced Vémola in a battle for the middleweight title, while Kincl was his opponent in the Czech fighter’s first defence.
Both Czechs managed to defeat Lohoré. While Vémola dominated for five rounds and won on points, Kincl did not spend much time with his rival in the cage, as he finished him off during the first round.
And how does Lohoré see the fight? “Vémola will absolutely destroy Kincl. I could feel the power of both of them, and Kincl is strong, but how strong is Vémola? Carlos will take him down and do what he does best,” the controversial fighter is clear.
Kozma, in particular, knows Kincl from training together. However, he has also trained with Vémola several times and so, like Lohoré, has something to say about the fight.
But does he have any clarity? No. “I see everything 50/50. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for Kincl, I’m Kincl Army, we have a lot of rounds lined up, but I see the fight as 50-50. Karlos is very strong. We’ll see how Patrik’s fitness is. He wasn’t quite right with Pirate in the fifth round, but I think he will learn from that,” says the former champion.
Kozma added, among other things, that he is looking forward to the Kinclo-Vemola fight the most out of all the fights that have ever been here.
