Round 10 preview: Eastern Superleague group to resolve relegation drama
The tenth and final round of the Superleague of small football is scheduled. After that, it will be clear which eight teams will advance from the play-offs and also who will face whom in the quarter-finals.
Most – Partyzan Příbram, Sunday 14.00
Most is three points behind the third place in the western group and will welcome the leading Pribram in the last round at home. Partyzan won their last game this autumn 6:2, so the North Czechs need not only a win but also a good dose of productivity to move ahead of Příbram.
Given the form of Most’s Denis Lanka, even a better score may not be insurmountable for Pribram.
Hanspaulka Praha – Predátoři Praha, Sunday 20.00
A spicy Prague derby will close Sunday’s match schedule and it will also be a big one. Hanspaulka, in fourth position, is three points behind the second-placed Predators, who dominated the autumn duel 3:1. The defending champions also have a lot to make up from the last round, when they lost to Most 3:7, while Predators overcame Kolín 9:1.
PAMAKO Pardubice – Olomouc Mighty Ducks, Monday 19.30
Olomouc Mighty Ducks players can be the most calm before the last round of the regular season in the Eastern Group. The Mighty Ducks are leading by two points and in case of a loss they will finish third at worst.
However, the vision of advancing from the first position is tempting and the Hanaks are facing the worst team in the Superliga of small football Pardubice. They won the autumn duel 8:5.
MF Blanensko – Jihlava Miners, Monday 19.30
MF Blanensko players are on the verge of qualification to the knockout fights before the last round. Only a three-point win at home against Jihlava will secure the quarter-finals, otherwise they will not be among the top eight.
In the autumn Blanensko won in Jihlava 6::5. In case of a loss, the Vysočina team needs the same hesitation of the Vikings.
MF Baník Ostrava – Vikings Brno, Monday 20.00
The Brno Vikings are in an unflattering position before the last round of the Superleague of small football. The most successful team in the history of the national competition has to win on the field of Baník Ostrava to be sure to qualify for the play-offs.
If Brno loses, it will be important how the match in Boskovice, which starts half an hour earlier, ends. The Vikings have worse games against Jihlava. Even a defeat won’t keep Baník from advancing.
Vlci Kolín – Rytíři Plzeň, Tuesday 20.30
The two worst teams in the western group will play a duel for a better feeling from a bad season on Tuesday night. Both teams have already lost their hopes of qualifying for the play-offs, Vlci Kolín are last, while Rytíři have only a three-point lead. The Wolves won a close autumn battle for themselves, winning 2:1 in West Bohemia.
