Oktagon has announced reserve matches for Tipsport Gamechanger! Original Pyramid favourite goes into action for the first time, Pirate out of the picture

The next round of Tipsport Gamechanger is approaching and it’s time to announce the reserve matches. Especially after the fans chose the men they will put back in the game. One of them was supposed to be Samuel Kristofich, but unfortunately he will not be joining the pyramid.

David Kozma and Alex Lohoré, Bojan Velickovic and Christian Jungwirth, Louis Glismann and Melvin Van Suijdam and finally Andreas Michailidis and Marcel Glismann advanced to the next round and will fight together.

Fans, however, were promised to get involved in the game and will be able to pick the fighters who will return to the game. The lucky loser poll was clearly dominated by Samuel Kristofich, followed by Ion Surdu. But Kristofich will not be returning to the game.

The Pirate appreciates the support of the fans, but his health will not allow him to continue in the pyramid. He doesn’t want to take the game when he’s not 100 percent. So Lukasz Siwiec, the man who almost beat Kozma and who finished third in the voting, will take the place of Kristofich.

John Hathaway, originally the biggest favourite in the whole pyramid, returns to the game. He was originally supposed to face Kristofich, but will eventually be challenged by Polish hunk Siwiec, who won all his fights before the limit.

Siwiec’s match against Hathaway will take place on June 16 in Oberhausen, Germany at OKTAGON 44.

The second reserve bout will feature the aforementioned Surdu and Amiran Gogoladze. The latter was originally scheduled to face Louis Glismann, only to be outweighed by a hefty margin and eventually pull out of the fight the night before the tournament. He was replaced by Andrey Kalashnik, who put in a sympathetic performance against Glismann.

Gogoladze and Glismann were among the favourites in the pyramid. The winner of the duel was expected to go far. But in the end it didn’t happen and Gogoladze now gets his second chance.

Surdu, for a change, showed his worth in his fight with Bojan Velickovic as they inflicted a mutual knockdown, but the Serb recovered early. Surdu, however, won over the fans, who voted for him in the lucky loser poll.

The Surdu vs. Gogoladze fight will take place on May 20 in Prague’s O2 Arena at OKTAGON 43.
